Kobo Glo eReader and its 50 Shades of Enlightening

As an avid reader, I love the power of getting lost in a good book. Being transported into another realm of imaginary worlds; it’s stimulating and relaxing. Yet a guilty pleasure I don’t get to experience often enough.

The older I become, the harder it is to find time to divulge in my reading passion. But when I do find time, I want to jump in with both feet. I love having a book ready and waiting, rather than spending hours upon hours at the local bookstore hunting for the perfect literary to take me away.

Recently I feel in love – in love with ereading and its convenience. I love that I can pick up my Kobo Glo ereader and shop for a new book right from the menu and; within minutes of finding the perfect novel I’m whisked away in another imaginary world, relaxed and excited about my new adventure.

The Kobo Glo has changed the way I read, and because of its convenience, I have more time to read. No more going to the bookstore and spending wasted hours driving to and fro, hunting though isle after isle for my next invented journey.

I will be doing a follow up post on the Kobo Glo which I will be taking with me in my upcoming travels. In these post we’ll highlight the pros and cons of an ereader in more depth. I’m certain the pros will more than outweigh the cons, in fact at this given moment, I can’t think of a single con to and ereader verse a physical book.

If you live in a small village, one of the highlights of the year can be setting up a fair for all the residents to enjoy. What Does Jewellery Mean To You

Jewellery is something that most people can’t live without and this is the case for both men and women.

I believe that the jewellery I wear helps me bring out my personality as like most men and women they wear jewellery that helps them create a unique style that may represent their personality and to create a bold statement. Jewellery can be used to express a unique identity. In some cases people use jewellery to set a style trend amongst friends or follow the latest fashion trends.

When referring to jewellery it can be used as that memorable item, this is where you remember the place you bought the piece from or that special someone who bought you the piece as a gift. This means the piece has a sentimental value for example a family hare loom. From this you can say that jewellery has a different meaning for each person.

To some jewellery may not have a meaning just a purpose that simply the jewellery is just to complete an outfit or that is practical and that they buy jewellery that is suitable for every occasion.

With modern technology, we can’t get away from using electricity. It’s a fact of life. Whether you are using your cell phone, or cooking with your microwave, you need electricity.

The RYI2000 comes completely assembled. All you have to do is put in the oil and gas, and go. After you have initially started the RYI2200, it’s just a matter of GO! Of course, you will want to check the oil before starting, but you don’t have to put oil in every time you use it.

Everything I have read or seen concerning the RYI2200 is that it is as quiet as a normal conversation. Obviously, I was skeptical, but willing to give it a try. What I found was, it is quieter than a normal conversation. You heard me right. With the RYI2200 running, I can carry on a “normal” conversation while it’s running. If it was as loud as me, I would have to raise my voice to be heard, but I didn’t have to raise my voice to be heard. However, that is with just the RYI2200 running. If you are running a power tool on top of it, your power tool will drown out the RYI2200 and all you will hear is the power tool.

Obviously the RYI2200 cannot run everything in your home, however, you can alternate appliances and save you frozen and refrigerated items while keeping yourself warm while the electricity is down (providing you have enough gas on hand.

According to the manual, you can supply yourself with enough power to run a radio, your laptop, a portable fan, a 46” flat panel TV, a slow cooker, and twelve 75 watt bulbs all at the same time. Now that’s some power. Some wattages may vary, and you should check your own appliances, but this unit can supply quite a bit of power. Power tools take up greater amounts of electricity, but you can easily power almost any power tool.

The 12 volt DC outlet is designed to charge vented wet-cell batteries only. Any battery that has the removable caps for replenishing the electrolyte solution fits this criterion. They also suggest not using the unit for “jump-starting” you car as it may damage the electronics of the car.

The unit weighs 51 pounds. I know that sounds like a lot, but Ryobi didn’t want you to struggle too hard. They included wheels and an extendable/retractable handle. This allows you to wheel it wherever you want by yourself. And if it needs to be lifted onto a truck, car, or up Mount Everest, it has two handles so that you and a friend can carry or lift it to wherever you want to go.

It has an LED readout so that you will know if it is powering, overloading, or low on oil. All of these are good to know and you can easily see it on the front panel. The RYI2200 also is equipped with circuit breakers in case of an accidental overload. Let’s face it, we aren’t all electrical engineers here and accidents happen, and when it does, you trip a breaker instead of damaging the generator.

If you want to link two of them together, Ryobi has a parallel kit that you can use to link them together for more power. And the parallel kit is no harder than plugging it in and there you go.

I read the operator’s manual before starting and I suggest you do the same. It goes through the do’s and don’ts so that you can enjoy your generator for years to come.

And it’s all covered by Ryobi’s 3 year limited warranty. The reason it’s a limited warranty is because if you are doing something that will damage your generator, like pouring battery acid into the gas tank and tring to run it, Ryobi isn’t going to replace your generator when things go bad, but if something quits working right with your unit, Ryobi absolutely stands behind their product. In fact, I have some older Ryobi tools, and yes they are still working, but I can see a definite improvement in Ryobi’s quality. They are really stepping up their game and producing “Top-of-the-Line” products. I wouldn’t be surprised to see their prices rise in the future, so if you want a good product, don’t wait 2-3 years, get it now while the price is low.

Stressing the Importance of Family

Long before you became a parent I am sure you heard mothers all around you saying they wish their kids would be little again. Now that you have become one yourself I would be willing to bet that you have said the same thing a time or two.

As you watch them transition from baby to toddler and all the way up to adult, it is important to block out family time. Your sassy teenager is probably going to have a sour face when you make her go bowling on a Friday night, especially in the moment that her friends from school show up. Who cares, she will eventually get over it and you are instilling the importance of family.

There will come a time that they will need you, and by enforcing family bonding moments they will know that you want to be there. Through these times you will learn about each other and as your kids grow you will want to let them know more about you. That way, they won’t be afraid to come to you when they experience things they don’t think you will like.
